Appointment of Chief Ombudsman

The Office of the Ombudsman is pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Munroe as the Chief Ombudsman, effective immediately. Mr. Munroe brings with him a wealth of experience in the virtues of ombudsmen, having public relations experience and experience in the concept of common Freedom of Information laws, and having operated multiple blogs. His commitment to integrity, ethical practices, and resolving disputes aligns seamlessly with the Office's objectives.

Mr. Munroe expressed his enthusiasm in this position stating, "I am honored to be appointed as Chief Ombudsman. I look forward to contributing to the Office's contribution and I feel honoured to be able to work to achieve fairness for all New Zealanders"
